Rebel Row Productions is an independent film production company formed during the making of the feature film, “Ud Af Moerket” (English title- Through Darkness).
R.R.P was founded in 2009 by David Sakurai and Daniell Edwards.
Our goal is to produce genre films at modest budgets, while keeping the quality, integrity, and visual appeal of the film at the studio level.
David Sakurai is a Japanese/Danish actor born and raised in Denmark. He moved to Japan and received his theatrical training at the Globe Actors Studio. Thus began his acting career in Japan, honing his skills in the indie film scene in Tokyo.
After relocating back to Denmark, David has proved himself a strong, versatile actor having been cast in supporting roles in drama, comedy, and action.
However, still facing adversity in the Danish industry by being typecast for his “foreign” look, he has undertaken the heavy task by writing, acting, producing, and directing his own material. Having a desire to not only penetrate the Danish market and industry, David has set his sights on creating work with international appeal.
Ud Af Moerkat is his first feature film creation that exemplifies this. He will be in front and behind the camera manning the script, cast, and crew as the lead actor and director.
Daniell Edwards started his career as a stuntman and choreographer. In recent years, he has worked in a variety of short films and proved himself as a strong leading man, with his international debut in the feature film, “Pistoleros.” He has completed his second feature, “Westbrick Murders” co –starring Eric Roberts that will be released in 2009.
He has successfully produced both feature films, showcasing his talent for leadership on and off the screen. His strong work ethic has provided him with consistent work within a short period of time, creating a buzz in his growing career.
Ud Af Moerkat will feature him as the lead, debuting him as a director in addition to a third producing credit.
